Who can apply?
The program is open to young South Africans between 18 and 25 years who are or have been volunteers in their community.
What will you do?
The participants will work for five months as volunteers in community service projects on environmental protection, health, work with migrants, children etc.
Where will you work?
Ten South Africans will work in community projects in Mozambique or Malawi. Five South Africans will go to Mozambique and five will go to Malawi to work as volunteers in community projects.
When does it start?
The actual exchange will take place from 18 July to 10 December 2011. However, there will be orientations before and after the orientation that are obligatory to all participants.

This is a unique opportunity to experience another culture, to learn a new language and to widen your horizon.

- A copy of your CV.
- A Motivational letter (1 page maximum) outlining why you want to go on the exchange and also discussing your volunteer history.

When is the application deadline?
For 2011, South Africans and Mozambicans should submit their applications by the 15th of June and Malawians by the 18th of June.
